What Customers Say About Nintendogs Labrador Retriever & Friends:

It has good graphics and the puppies are adorable. There are three types of contests to enter your dog into. Although they are adorable this game can get boring. Nintendogs was the first game I got when I got my first DS (lite) along with the New Super Mario Bros. I like games like Animal Crossing but it turned out this just wasn't the game for me. (The brushes and shampoo depend on whether your puppy has short or long hair) As you progress in the game you can buy more dogs although you can only keep three with you, if you get more you have to put them in a puppy hotel, which i don't like about the game. I just don't have the devotion to take care of a virtual puppy.

You get to name your dog and you can teach it to come when you call their name through the mic., as well as commands. I don't like how you have to care for them every once in a while so they don't run away and there's no possible way to shut them off. Plus your dog can meet a friend's dog with Wi-Fi Connection in Bark Mode. The game is fun for a while but then it gets sort of boring but that's just my opinion. There are the standard commands (sit, lie down, roll over, etc). Some of the objects are neat though, like you can find a Mario hat while out on a walk that your puppy can wear or a Princess Peach kart based on Mario Kart (this specific kart is exclusive to lab and friends) that your dogs can play with.

I would say this game is okay. When you walk them, your puppies may find objects to either wear or play with, or just to sell for more money. You buy food, drinks and shampoo for your dog along with brushes. These are just the basics of the game, you don't have to read:When you first start, the game gives you a walk-through, which is good because that way, you don't have to keep looking in the manual, and if you miss something, you can always look in the books (i mean in the game). and then there are other commands you can teach your dog, like hi-5.

Nintendogs Labrador Retriever is a fun game. But the competitions are very fun, and have different levels. You collect items when you go on walks, sometimes toys and sometimes accessories. There are 3 competitions: an athletic one where your dog jumps over hurdles and goes through tunnels, an obedience one where you train your dog to obey a command, and a disc throwing one where you throw the disc and your dog gets points for catching it at different distances.

You throw a ball, you win a competition, after a while it turns into the same old same old. The graphics in this game are amazingly realistic. Dogs react like they would too: they melt if you rub their tummy or give them a good scratch, but they snap at you if you pet them in the wrong place. But for about a year or two this game is really fun. Also, if you neglect your dog for too long, they will run away. The only bad thing about this game, is that there isn't much to DO. You adopt pets ( you can have up to 8 ) and you get to decide the breed, color, and gender.

The breeds look like how they would in real life. I would mostly recommend it for ages 5-12 The walks are definitely a main part of this game: they control the stuff you have, it's where you buy food and supplies for your pet, and it's where you can train for competitions. You have to train your dogs very hard to be in these.

You take care of your animal, play games, go to contests, feed, bathe, brush, and meet new friends. When you're buying your dog you can learn what their personality is so you can choose.

I love this game. If you want a naughty, shy, loving, excited, friendly, playful, obedient and so on.

This game is wonderful for whoever loves dogs and taking care of them. You can train your dog all the time, playing and petting and giving it treats.

It is wonderful. I think it is exceptional for those who are allergic to dogs or can't have them because it is just like owning a dog.

You find fun gifts on walks, and train your dog for disc competitions and agility and obedience.

Even when coaxed he is not interested in playing anymore. He never picked it up again. Not a long term play game. My son 6 who is a big dog fan got bored after a few minutes.

If you're going to get ONE pet game, this is it. I didn't know if the game would stand up to all the hype, but this is the best pet game I've seen yet. I am a former game industry professional and both my 7 year old and I love this game.
